History

Deo-etnet was founded in November 1993 by Derick & Teresa Botha.

The business started as a PC Hardware, software & networks company.
The initial format of the business was as a sole trader.

In April 1994 the focus of Deo-etnet changed to marketing presentation solutions. The business role model that was used was that of a national company that was successful in the presentations industry at that time.

In October 1996 the business format was altered from a sole proprietor to a Business Trust.

During the course of 1999 a number of changes was made to the marketing approach of the business. The business moved away from a home business to integration business with dedicated support and sales staff. A significant capital outlay was made in order to equip the current presentation venue.

The growth of the business was steady until January 2001 when we adopted the image of our role player company and we become the official representative of Future Media in central South Africa, trading as Future Media Free State.

July 2001 introduced a time for a new facelift for Deo-etnet when another major roleplayer in the audio-visual industry bought the Future Media brand. We decided to form a separate (Pty) Ltd that will serve our customers with our unique approach.
The registration for Deo-etnet Presentation Solutions (Pty) Ltd was set in motion with registration done in September 2001.

In January 2002 the new company, DPS (Pty) Ltd adopted the vision statement as set out here. Our team, made up of representatives of the major race groups in our focus area, moved along at a rapid rate and has raised us to a standard not known before.
